Two Nature Reserves,  Souss Massa and Khnifiss, offer great opportunities for birdwatching, and the Lagoon Dakhla region is a key meeting point for ornithologists.
The mouths of wadis (Massa, Noun, Chbika, Draa, el Waer, etc.) that make the characteristic of the Atlantic Sahara coast are home all year many bird species, especially during migration, but also out of this season.
The oases and desert areas are also ideal places for observation.
